Artist Statement

Since 2007 I've began a style of intertwining fashion figures with dark and colorful surroundings.  I do this to try and capture human emotion so that anyone can feel that they relate to what I have painted or drawn.  At one moment the work will look whimsical, bold, and then dark, and yet be bright and colorful all at the same time.  In my work I prefer acrylic paint but I sometimes use pen and ink, digital paintings, and mixed media.

All of these paintings will be on sale at the show.  A percentage of the proceeds will go to WOMAN, INC.
